calligraphy & brush painting with an american flair
Traditional Chinese calligraphy is done via the 4 Treasures of the Study (文房四宝): ink, brush, inkstone, and Xuan paper. Chinese brush painting is created with the addition of a 5th Treasure: Watercolor. Anything beyond that is not traditional, and almost blasphemous...and that's where my works cross the line.
